Housing Corporation Information

The Epsilon Tau Housing Corporation was originally formed in 1967 in advance of the initial purchase of the original Chapter house located at 103 North 14th Street. Through the years the Housing Corporation and the Chapter house have all gone through changes, new construction and leadership. However, the mission of the Housing Corporation has essentially remained the same over the years as outlined below.

The Housing Corporation is the property owner and title holder of the Epsilon Tau Chapter house and its sole responsibility is the ownership and management of student housing for qualified Sigma Chi students living in and using the Chapter house. The Housing Corporation is explicitly not an advisory entity for the Chapter and relinquishes any assumed or perceived advisory capacity to the Epsilon Tau Chapter Advisor in his role as defined by Sigma Chi International. The Housing Corporation is responsible for cost of ownership which includes the mortgage, utilities, real estate taxes, routine maintenance repairs to the house and parking lot, and other expenditures related to ownership of property.
